Dessert lovers – do I have some news for you! As you know, I’m a firm believer in making healthy food choices, but you may also know that Jeff and I each have a sweet tooth, and we think it’s important to treat ourselves to something fun every now and then. Well, I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to come up with a wholesome, fresh and fantastically delicious dessert option for those ‘treat-yourself’ moments!  After many months of testing, I’m now proud to present, Peanut’s Bake Shop Chocolate Chunk Cookie Kits! Not only are they non-GMO, 100% plant-based, AND gluten free, but you can also make them in small batches of 2, 6 or 12 at a time, leaving you in complete control of your waistline’s destiny!

I know you may be asking, “Audrey, how did you come up with this idea!?” Well, I’m so glad you asked, because I’ve been counting down the seconds until I could share my story with you!

It was the summer of 2014 when Jeff and I hosted a small dinner party with some friends at our home in Los Angeles. When I presented the dessert course, there were many “ooo’s and ahh’s” amongst our friends as I brought out a platter of freshly baked chocolate chip fudge brownies for all to enjoy. A few minutes after dessert hit the table, one of our friends chimed in and said,

“You know, I love to bake, but I never do, because I can’t handle the temptation of having three-dozen cookies or a tray of brownies in the house. In fact, it’s been years since I’ve baked anything for that one reason.”

Immediately, two or three others admitted that they felt the same way. I couldn’t help but feel sad about this; these friends of mine weren’t doing something that they love simply because most baking recipes require you to produce such large amounts of goodies at a time. Then I realized something – I rarely bake for that very same reason!

The next day I started thinking…  Surely there must be a way to bake small batches of treats without buying the ready-made dough that contains all sorts of mystery ingredients and chemicals. Plus, half the fun of baking is the measuring and mixing part!  Immediately, I got to work.

After several months of trial and error, plus countless hours of testing in the kitchen, I’m proud to introduce Peanut’s Bake Shop Chocolate Chunk Cookie Kits – the very first cookie kit that allows you to make only 2, 6 or 12 cookies at a time using the purest and simplest ingredients possible! The only ingredients you need to provide are oil and water. That’s right – no eggs!

Hi Stanley, I went the gluten-free route (and the plant-based route) so that people with some of the most common dietary restrictions can still enjoy these cookies. I hope you have the opportunity to try them!
